Deadline Extended for National Security Prospectus Development Workshop Applications

The Tobin Project is now accepting additional applications for the 2016 Prospectus Development Workshop from doctoral students who are currently developing research questions and aiming to produce high-impact social science research related to the Tobin Project’s National Security research area. We are especially interested in supporting innovative, interdisciplinary research that addresses major challenges facing society.

The Prospectus Development Workshop brings together a small group of graduate students in the early stages of research development as well as Tobin staff and discussants from the Tobin network for a weekend of critical and creative discussion. At the workshop, participants will focus on criteria for developing high-impact research questions. Each participant will also have the opportunity to present his or her research question for feedback. The Tobin Project covers the cost of travel and lodging. Participants also receive a small honorarium. We welcome applications from students in all social science disciplines and allied fields.

The deadline for new national security applications is now April 7, 2016. The workshop will be held June 10-12. Application instructions and more information on the program are available here. If you have any additional questions, please contact Will Wittels.
